This was shortly after I had been admitted.
After my eyes had swollen shut, they were in pain, so they kept putting ice rags on my eyes to try and help. Sarah and Rebecca are the best.
This is my doula, Rebecca. I highly recommend having a doula. She was amazing and so helpful to Josh and me.
At times I wanted Josh touching me, and others I DID NOT 🙂
This was shortly before I began pushing and the pain was intense. Josh read some scriptures I had written down beforehand to keep me focused on the miracle of this process.
I was getting ready to push here and doubting I could do it.
My amazing husband and midwife starting to see our sweet Vera coming out.
Oh, the pushing. So awful! Yes, it’s amazing, but so awful :)!!!!
Josh was amazing at being so encouraging to me, even when I wanted to kill him!
I literally thought I was dying at this point…
She’s finally here…and perfect!
I am so glad our photographer captured this. This was Josh thanking the Lord for fulfilling His promise to us right after Vera was born.
I seriously had the best team of people helping me do this.
So incredibly exhausted…
I still can’t see my baby because of my eyes being swollen shut, but feeling her on me was and is pure heaven!
My poor eyes…looking back, it was awful, but truly had me experience it with all of my other senses even more heightened.
I finally was able to see her a little bit as my eyes started to open.
Love looking at these of our sweet parents meeting Vera.
Josh hugging his sweet mom.
So thankful to have my sister there with me.
Everyone with us, minus Tammy. She was taking care of our sweet Genevieve-forever grateful for that!
So thankful for my sweet mom!
Our gorgeous girl!
Admiring our Vera..
I miss Sarah’s sweet face!
Exhaustion and pure joy!
We have amazing parents.
